The heroes are always super-powerful, absolutely in control of everything around them, hard as nails, protective, etc. -- and even when they respect the heroine they still dominate the whole rest of the world. The fact that this is the only hero type offered gives the impression of authors who think this is the only way a man can be desirable and worthy of a heroine -- a problematic model of masculinity, to say the least!Vashahttp://vasha.booklikes.com/noreply@blogger.com
